Askí Financial is an Aboriginal financial services company, working with and for Aboriginal people. Askí brings financial services directly to our customers through our Employer Partners — Aboriginal owned and led businesses including First Nation bands, associations and organizations.

What we’re all about

Askí means ‘earth’ in the Cree language – the provider of all things. As a word, Askí has positive meanings for Aboriginal people being used to refer to ‘mother earth’ and ‘children of the earth’. When we use the word Askí, we think of things that are solid, things we can count on, and things we need for life.

Our logo is symbolic of the turtle, of Anishinabe creation legend, who carried on his back the new earth that became North America, or Turtle Island.

Together, the name Askí and our symbol of the turtle, reinforce the values that are the cornerstone of Askí Financial – consistent, ethical, respectful, and fair.
